Principal ASIC Design Engineer

New York大学電子工学科博士課程にて、専用プロセッサを用いたIPルーティング用最長プリフィックスマッチングの高速化や正規表現を含むIPS(侵入防止システム)用パターンマッチングの高速化などの研究に従事する 。研究は査読付き国際会議及びIEEE/ACM論文誌に発表され、関連する複数の米国特許を取得する。また、IEEE/ACM Transaction on NetworkingやIEEE Infocomなどの論文査読者もつとめる。

現在はFortinet Inc.米国本社にてPrincipal ASIC Design Engineerとして次世代製品のプロセッサ設計に従事する傍ら、コネクティッドカーセキュリティなど新しい分野への研究開発も推進している。

Masanori Bando, PhD.

Principal ASIC Design Engineer

Dr. Bando earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from New York University. His research interest was developing the longest prefix matching algorithm and pattern matching algorithm including regular expressions for intrusion detection system using special purpose processors. His work was published in multiple well referred international conference and IEEE/ACM Journals.

He also served as a reviewer for IEEE/ACM Transaction on Networking as well as recognized conferences such as IEEE Infocom.

His current role as a Principal ASIC Design Engineer involves building architecture for next generation security processors. Concurrently he is researching in new area of cyber security such as a connected car security.
